Ms. Salimah Arab
Salimah is part of the Treasury team at United Bank Limited. As an AVP, Market Risk she is responsible for the measuring, monitoring and reporting of market risk metrics, including quantifying impact of price changes to the investment portfolio and developing stress-testing simulations.
Previously, she has worked with Alchemy Technologies; a financial risk management consultancy for almost 4 years. Her portfolio of assignments include facilitating local financial institutions in rolling out successful BASEL II implementation, development, implementation and validation of financial models for derivative pricing and valuation, development and implementation of Risk management policies and risk measurement frameworks.
As an instructor, her experience includes conducting a semester-long training on BASEL II risk management at PAF-KIET for final year students and baking professionals.She also conducted a series of 1-day workshops on various aspects of risk management at First Women Bank Ltd. On academic front, she holds a Bachelor in Computer Sciences and Masters in Business Administration both from Institute of Business Administration. She cleared her FRM level 1 in 2010 and level 2 in Nov 2011.
